Fixed General Purpose LED Luminaires were first notified under the Electronics and IT Goods (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2012 via S.O. 2905(E), dated 13th November 2014. The compliance timeline was extended under S.O. 2579(E), dated 21st September 2015, and final enforcement was mandated from 1st March 2016 as per S.O. 344(E), dated 3rd February 2016. Subsequently, these luminaires were re-notified under the Electronics and IT Goods (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021 (S.O. 1248(E), dated 18th March 2021), with effect from 18th September 2021, further amended in March and July 2021.
