 Cold rolled medium, high carbon and low alloy steel strip for general engineering purposes (IS 7226:1974), under ITC (HS) codes 72112310, 72112320, 72112330, 72112340, 72112350, 72112390, 72112910, 72112920, 72112930, 72112940, 72112950, 72112960, 72112390, 72269210, 72269930, 72269952, 72269990, has been notified under the Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Order, 2024 through S.O. 3716(E), dated 29th August 2024, issued by the Ministry of Steel. This order supersedes the earlier QCO S.O. 574(E), dated 5th February 2024.

 - Fine not less than ₹2 lakh, extendable up to 10 times the value of goods, or both.
