Commercial Electric Grillers and Toasters are regulated under the Safety of Household, Commercial and Similar Electrical Appliances (Quality Control) Order, 2025, issued via S.O. 2232(E) dated 19 May 2025 under the BIS Act, 2016. This order replaces the earlier QCO of 17 September 2024.

Grillers and toasters used in commercial kitchens operate at high temperatures and continuous duty cycles. This regulation ensures they meet strict electrical safety, heat resistance, and performance requirements to protect operators, customers, and property.

To standardize design, construction, insulation, and safety controls for commercial electric grillers and toasters, ensuring conformity to IS 302 (Part 1):2024 for safe and reliable operation in food service environments.
