Electric Cream Whippers have been brought under mandatory certification through the Safety of Household, Commercial and Similar Electrical Appliances (Quality Control) Order, 2025, notified by S.O. 2232(E) on 19 May 2025 under the BIS Act, 2016. This Order replaces the earlier QCO issued via S.O. 4098(E) dated 17 Sept 2024.

Electric cream whippers are used in homes and food service environments to aerate and whip cream into a foamy consistency. Due to their high-speed motor and liquid contact, product safety and reliability are critical—necessitating regulation under BIS standards.

The QCO mandates adherence to IS 302 (Part 1):2024, covering aspects such as electrical shock protection, motor performance, overheat safety, insulation, and mechanical strength.
