Self-Ballasted LED Lamps for General Lighting Services were included under regulation via the Electronics and IT Goods (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2012 through S.O. 2905(E), dated 13th November 2014. The compliance date was extended via S.O. 2579(E), dated 21st September 2015, with final enforcement mandated from 1st March 2016 as per S.O. 344(E), dated 3rd February 2016. Subsequently, these lamps were re-notified under the Electronics and IT Goods (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021 (S.O. 1248(E), dated 18th March 2021) with effect from 18th September 2021, further amended in March 2021 and July 2021.
